Wigtown Book Festival
A 10-day literary celebration in Scotlands National Book Town

The Wigtown Book Festival brochure plays an important part in communicating the event to audiences and celebrating the line-up of authors every year. The best paper stock, colours and illustration style is selected to reflect Wigtown's identity as a rural book festival with a relaxed, fun character and an emphasis on nature and the environment.

Creating a striking cover with the appropriate theme for the brochure is vital, which means commissioning the right illustrator. The artwork is an integral part of the festival branding and the brochures become collectable items in their own right. Elements of the brochure are applied to all promotional elements of the festival, including the website, adverts and signage.

The brochure cover project begins with a rough sketch of potential ideas, with the book tree being integral to the theme.
