‘nationale vitae activa’ – the Roman term for ‘the right to influence public affairs’ is aptly applied to this environmental arts charity. NVA was founded by Angus Farquhar in 1992 and with continuing good environmental practice his organisation has engaged with communities across the UK and internationally. Clients have commissioned venues ranging from illuminations of iconic buildings in urban cityscapes, presentations in gorges and on mountainsides. With rich visual material to draw on , BD created the website in collaboration with Random Sequence. The result is that pioneering artists and cross-cultural viewers can easily appreciateNVA diversity through previous successes with installation of site specific events, festivals, artworks and permanent interventions.
